As Christians and other conservatives assess the moral chaos surrounding us, they often respond with something like: “This is just temporary insanity. It’s contrary to reason. Anybody with common sense understands this is insane.”
But the goal of Cultural Marxism and more recent versions of Leftism is to re-engineer common sense. A leading Frankfurt School academic luminary Herbert Marcuse made this clear in a 1965 lecture at Brandeis University. An objective of young radicals must be to alter a society‘s consciousness about common sense.
If it is common sense to believe that man and woman are not interchangeable, that children are not so autonomous that they may choose to ingest hormone-altering chemicals and surgically alter their sexual organs, and that all races should be treated equally under the law, that sense should become uncommon, strange.
Gays are normal and straights are weird. Men can get pregnant. Math is dominated by whiteness and must change.
It will no longer suffice to say that everybody of commonsense knows this is laughable.
It is precisely what constitutes common sense that is being contested.
Sin in unregenerate man corrupts absolutely - his soul, his heart, his mind, even his strength (how he uses his body to carry out that sinful nature that corrupts his soul, heart, mind). In this state, man is under the power of Satan and therefore an enemy of God, his soul, heart, and mind in darkness.
Blind from the truth except he be regenerated by the Spirit of Truth - born again, his hostility toward God and His Anointed One becomes evident in his plans, purposes, decisions, and earthly power. Ruled by sin, he erects a tower of ideologies, policies, religions (including "none"), laws, practices, and institutions opposed to God's Law-Word, saying "We will not have the Lord and His Christ rule over us, for there is no god but man."
In his insane condition - a mind hostile to God - one of his first objectives is to destroy the image of God, for it is his greatest defiance against the reality deep within him that he is subject to God being created by God. Abortion (murder of babies in the womb), mutilation of sexual organs, homosexuality and other practices of sexual immorality, gender fluidity, pick your pronoun ("I'm a dog"), and even claims of the inferiority of those with white skin, are all examples of this hostility toward God and His Law-Word, hostile minds refusing their thoughts be taken captive and obedient to Christ.
For this reason, the Church is salt and light in the world. But it is also because the Church has failed to be salt and light - losing its saltiness and hiding its light - that the insanity of sin has spread like COVID to every domain of existence, including the institutional churches. God's judgment upon the institutional church evident in allowing enemies to set up their idols in its corridors, their antichrist message in its pulpits, and its presence trampled under foot of those who hate God.
Nonetheless, Christ will - He MUST - reign until all His enemies are abolished, rendered completely powerless and useless against His kingdom, putting every rule, authority, power, and government that resists His rule under His feet - prostrate before Him. Today, we must as individuals, families, workers, owners, governors, etc. be subject to Jesus Christ in every area of life, demonstrating in deed the works of Christ's righteousness so that the world may see God's works and glorify Him. We must fight earnestly for the faith against all lies, even if it costs us our lives. We must turn the world upside down (obeying God rather than man) proclaiming to the world that there is another king, the King of kings, Jesus. We must, in the name and authority of the King, disciple the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that the King, Jesus, has commanded, for the Law of God is to go forth from His Holy Hill, Zion.
Without the Shepard, the sheep cannot survive. Sheep are incredibly stupid. If a sheep falls down on a hillside with its feet uphill, it does NOT have the brains to roll over and put its fee downhill so that it can get up. That leaves it vulnerable to the wolf.
Today, we are not an agrarian people and as a result, we do not understand the metaphor that has been given to us in the Word. Much preaching today focuses on self-esteem. You will NOT find that subject in the Word. Sheeple do NOT want to hear how stupid they are and so they flock (pun intended) to the "feel good" preacher who fills their heads with nonsense about self-esteem (humanism). In Romans we are told fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
We no longer fear God. We are no longer humble before Him. In America we have exchanged our Shepard for a false god called We the People. We have de-throned the King by making laws contrary to His. I've frequently wondered if the chaos itself is the Marxist goal. If so, it certainly seems effective. 😢
