This is a breathtaking and beautiful memorial to your father . He was an incredibly special man . We know this not only by what you shared, but because he raised a son like you who so demonstrably recognized his uniqueness and Godliness . Blessings on your family .
So sorry to hear the passing on of your dad. However he left you with timeless wisdom and spiritual life that will guide you going forward. There is no greater joy and fulfillment than growing with the word of God and having a mentor who can guide you as you go through different seasons of life.
I've been tremendously saddened to hear of your Dad's passing Andrew.
He was everything that you described in your tribute here.
Especially the part, where people thought and said that he was the Best preacher they had ever heard...well I can most certainly vouch for that,as he was!!
I started going to his church in Pensacola,Florida in 1973,at only 17 years old...and was Saved and Baptised in that church! Both my husband and I,as we were still Newlyweds.
I learned so much from your father,it stuck with me for a lifetime!
I remember that yes,at times he could be alittle direct, and some couldn't digest that...but I always knew he was a Truth teller...and he never backed down from that.
I had the most admiration and respect for him, certainly because of this!
Even at that young age,I knew your dad,was the REAL DEAL,I loved him for that and greatly Appreciate everything that I learned from him,and I will miss him so much!!
I'm sending my kindest warmest heartfelt sympathy to you and your family and I hope to be always following you,as I know whom you have learned from.
Thankyou Andrew for such a wonderful loving tribute and the lovely story of your mother and father. Praying for you and your family, Renee( Cunningham) Alasker
Thank you for this. Praying for you and your family. As a young father my hope and prayer is that I live the kind of life so rendered to Christ that my children can speak so honestly of myself (failures and successes alike) and yet testify to a life rendered wholly to Christ, as you have done for your father here. You have truly honored him with your words. I got misty eyed a couple of times reading this. Truly beautiful. May the God of all peace pour out His grace and mercy upon you and your family.
Francis Schaefer along with Billy Graham are two of my heroes partly because they so obviously passed on there good habits to their children. Love this. It's more than a story. It's epic. Sorry my comments are so short. Not sorry. I don't anticipate posting any pictures of my mistakes in dating at 60ish and 75. I'm sure you'll survive without these pictures.
Praying for you and your family. What a beautiful tribute.

Praise the Lord! This is the best and most honest tribute I’ve read thus far. I pray it reaches multitudes of souls.
Praying for your family.
